THE 35TH ANNUAL DINNER and Meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Philadelphia was held at the University Club on March 6th. President Donald Rogers presided. The following officers were elected for 1942-1943. President, Richard R. Frame '28; vice president, Charles Ashton '20; secretary, Henry B. King Jr. '33; treasurer, Herman Trefethen '26; executive committee: Thomas Williams '31—to serve for 2 years, Harold Budd '15—to serve for 3 years.

Following the business meeting, talks were given by Philip Chase '07, Alumni Council Member from this district, Tuss McLaughry and .Dean "Pudge" Neidlinger. It would seem every year that this report reads that the speeches were the best we have ever heard. But this year it was the feeling of all present that the greatest height has been reached. Tuss was superb, and "Pudge" on his "State of the College During War Time" brought out forcibly just what Dartmouth is faced with under today's conditions.

Among those present on active duty with the Army or the Navy in Philadelphia were the following: Harry Weaver '24, Tom Peirce '30, Dick O'Daniels '34, Grant Meade '35, Hugh Kenworthy '41, Joe Kite '41, Steward Steffey '41, Fred Slack '42.

GEORGE W. SIMPSON '15, OF THE MELROSE DARTMOUTH CLUB WHO HAS WON HIGH PRAISE FOR HIS WORK AS CHAIRMAN OF THE UNITED WAR FUND COMMITTEE IN THAT CITY
