AT THE ANNUAL DINNER of the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Virginia held at the Commonwealth Club in Richmond Saturday evening, May 23rd, Harlan W. Wood '06 was elected president.

Gas rationing and calls to the armed forces accounted for many vacant chairs at the meeting, but the festivities went on anyway with Paul Gibson '15, president of the club for the past two years, as toastmaster. Many members from distant parts of the State were unable to be present.

.. Charlie H. R. Howe '0l was chosen vice president and Leonard Dunn '27 was elected secretary-treasurer.

Speaker of the evening was H. C. Shepherd, agent in charge of the Richmond office of the United States Secret Service.

We have received news that Thomas C. Colt Jr. '26 has been granted an indefinite leave-of-absence from his post as Director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in order to re-enter the Air Corps of the United States Marines.

News has also come to us that Arthur F. Perkins '28 has received his commission and has left to join the Camouflage Divis ion of the U. S. Army.
