Thanks to Maj. Bob Benjamin for a nice check for our 25th Anniversary Fund. Come on, gang, send in something for it.

HANOVER VISITOR

Spud crashes through from Worcester about a trip to Hanover. Says he, "I had a nice chat with Bob Strong who seems to have recovered from the fateful few days when the Navy and Marines trooped into Hanover, and 2300 of them had to have schedules arranged then and there. I guess Bob and Pudge Neidlinger had never seen the likes of it. Accommodations had been made for 600 to take physics. To fulfill the Navy requirements, however, it turned out that 1200 needed physics. Bob looks in the pink and unquestionably glories in the fact that he can see his horse out in the pastures, without having to squint around any more hurricane timber. The Hanover Gazette of the week of Aug. 9 referred to Robin Robinson tying for second place in the Hanover Inn duplicate bridge tournament. Preston Smart was elected to the executive committee of the New Hampshire Bar Association." Thanks for the grand letter, Spud.

Saw Ken Davis and his delightful family at Ed Wynn's show here in Boston. Please send in the class dues promptly to George Traver and keep him smiling; he is very busy.

Nice letter from Don Coyle, ist Lt. in the Marine Corps. Don saw Charlie French for a short visit in Washington. Don is at Paris Island, S. C., and is doing a big job.

George Traver writes from our Capitol, "Have been here a year working on fuel oil rationing. Washington is a crowded, hot, and hectic place to live these days. I very seldom see any '24 men around, although there, are a few here. Ken Harvey is with WPB and Mony Monahan is a captain in the Army, working, I believe, on renegotiation of contracts. Don Coyle is a lieutenant in the Marines. Maj. John Dregge called me on the phone the other day. I believe that he is about to take off for foreign parts." Thanks, George for your news. George, Don, and Charlie had a little reunion.

Speaking of reunion, in case there is none in Hanover next spring, what is the opinion of the class on holding some kind of a party somewhere else? Please write me or your reunion chairmen, Stan Lonsdale and Red Maloney, your ideas, and send me some news at the same time.
