NATHANIEL L. GOODRICH, Librarian, has compiled the following list of personal narratives of the war by combatants, non-combatant observers, and reporters. They are arranged geographically, and most titles are followed by a note as to the author's status. All these books are available in the Dartmouth library and should be available in any good city library. Later on I shall keep you posted on the best of the war books that have appeared since this list was'written.
