To CONTINUE where we left off; the following men, who were formerly connected with Bethlehem Steel Company, have received commissions in the Navy and are now scattered throughout the country: Rog Graves '37, Lou Young '4l, and Dick Fisher '4l. Bill Hotaling '4l, also a -Bethlehem Steel man, was drafted into the Army a few months ago and is located in the deep south.

Bob Simonds '25, the Allentown sleuth, reports "There are only four resident alumni in Allentown, Bob Ritter 'lB, Dick Kuhns '29, King Badger '29, and myself. All the others moved, are in the service, or like Martin Kleckner '42 and Court Young '4l are perpetually in motion. I see councilman Bob Ritter 'lB frequently now as we two are again on the committee for this year's Ivy League Rally. I rarely see Dick Kuhns '29. King Badger '29, who continues to teach at Muhlenberg, goes to Hanover this week for a discussion of post war educational planning—he is on the committee." And thus we cover the Allentown Joes.

As reported some time ago Lt. (]g) Jack Loose '33 had command of a gun crew on various ships plying the north Atlantic. More recently Jack was promoted to full Lieutenant and assigned to the Pacific area. In September he sailed through the Panama Canal to the west coast from which point he left almost immediately on a 20,000 ton heavily armed transport for the South Seas. Jack is the commanding officer of a group of 38 assorted naval personnel consisting of enlisted men, petty officers and two Lieutenants (jg). Jack likes the Navy so well he is seriously considering it as a career after this mess has been cleaned up. Perhaps Jack will have more news for us around the Christmas holidays when he is expected home on a short leave.
