DICK GRANT died December 16 at Gifford Memorial Hospital in Randolph, Vt. He had been in failing health for some time.

Glen Richard Grant was born July 21, 1885, in Pittsfield, N. H., the eldest son of Victor and Fleda Grant. He entered Dartmouth in 1904, remaining with the class two years and then leaving college to engage in business. He came to Dartmouth from Randolph, Vt., where his father owned a drugstore. For many years Dick was a salesman in or near New York. After his father's death in 1935 he returned to Randolph and the drug business. July 15, 1920, he married Miss Mary A. Flint. She survives him, also his mother.

Funeral services were held December 18 in Randolph, conducted by Rev. F. Wilson Day of the Bethany Church.

Dick will be best remembered by classmates as the lovable ball-playing lad who in freshman year roomed in 5 Richardson with Don Ruxton and Mike Stearns. He played on the freshman ball team and took an active part in class affairs. For many years he had little contact with the class and college, but his interest always was sustained. He returned to one reunion and occasionally saw classmates at some football game.

His death brings to 57 the number of 1908 classmates who have died.

As the forms are closing for the February issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE a letter is being mailed to all members of the class. You'll have the letter long before you get the MAGAZINE and, we hope, will have answered it. The letter asks your opinion and suggestions for class activities in 1943, our reunionless reunion year, and for news that will be of interest to classmates.
