OUR ANNUAL DINNER was held at the Bellevue Hotel, San Francisco, May 7. It was a grand occasion considering current restrictions—no representative from Hanover, no special speakers, just a good old- fashioned get together of the following:

Hayt '78, Leavens '01, O'Malley '03, Wentworth '03, Perkins '04, Clark '05, Hoyt '07, Evans '08, Taylor '11, Butler '12, Campbell '12, Vander Pyl '13, Livingston '15, Baer '17, Lawler '18, Baldwin '19, Winslow '20, Dunn 21, Wallick '21, Des Ma'rais '26, Howes '27, Taylor '28, Luten '29, Robin '29, Faye '30, Bender '31, McCullough '31, Evans '33, Armes '34, Howland '34, Karlen '35, Smith '35, Lawton '39, and Sampson '39.

You will note that Walter Hayt '78 was present as usual, and he brought with him a round-robin letter from his classmate, Rev. Tilton Bouton, St. Petersburg, Florida, which contained philosophy appreciated by all of us. Many of those present were from the armed forces, enjoying one more Dartmouth reunion while on leave. One adopted Dartmouth man, Lieutenant Creed, was present, having received Naval training at Hanover.

The outgoing president and toastmaster, "Gob" Des Marais, handled the occasion in his typical "Eleazer" style and graciously turned the gavel over to the incoming president, Vance Campbell '12. Other officers elected at this meeting were M. K. Taylor '28, vice president; B. L. Winslow '20, secretary-treasurer; and Deane Howland '34, assistant secretary.

Lunches still continue on a weekly basis at Marconi's Restaurant. The new president has not started to pass out cigars for record attendance as "Gob" did, but he has some other ideas. Dartmouth men in San Francisco on Wednesdays should investigate.
