Two LETTERS OF unusual interest, exchanged between Carl B. Hess '34 and President Hopkins, are presented as the "lead article" for this issue. Questions raised by Mr. Hess, ten years out of college, and the answers of Dartmouth's wise and experienced leader should make absorbing and beneficial reading for almost every Dartmouth man. The remainder of the issue, still limited.in size by paper restrictions, is devoted largely to information about Dartmouth men in service.
