FIRST LIEUTENANT ROBERT D. LAYNG, recently aide-de-camp to the Commanding General at Fort Devens, Mass., has been appointed accounting officer at the Dartmouth Eye Institute and reported for work there on October 15.
Mr. Layng, who was an officer with the Field Artillery during the war, served in this country and in the European Theater where he saw action in the Italian Campaign for over a year. Before being commissioned in the Field Artillery in 1942, he was with the Southern Railway System and has been associated with a number of Federal government agencies. He attended Colgate and George Washington Universities.
