THE GROWTH IN THE USE OF MOTION PICTURES in Dartmouth classrooms as a teaching supplement to lectures and textbooks is described in this month's leading article, VisualAids to Learning, by the Director of Dartmouth College Films, Prof. C. N. Allen '24 of the Psychology Department, one of the enthusiastic pioneers in this new method of instruction.
The story back of the generous gift of a collection of Taino-Indian artifacts to the College Museum is told by the donor, Lt. Col. Charles L. Youmans '20, USAAF, in the second lead article, Amateur Archaeologist. He discovered the specimens by a combination of luck, logic and hard digging on the site of an ancient Indian village in Santo Domingo.
Pictures and a story of the reception to President and Mrs. Dickey given in their honor by Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins may also be found in this issue.
