THE WINTER SERIES of Dartmouth College lectures was opened on November 14 by Charles G. Bolte '41, founder and chairman of the American Veterans Committee. He spoke on "The New Veteran," the subject of his newly published book. Other lectures, all of which will be held in the evening at 105 Dartmouth, will include Louis Fischer, newspaperman and author, who speaks on "Ever Changing Russia" on December 10; Prof. Carleton H. Hayes, Columbia University historian, on "Spanish American Relations," on January 7; Richard Wright, Negro author of the best selling "Native Son" and other works, on February 11, the topic to be announced; and on March 25, Max Lerner, editor and former Williams College professor, on "Where Do We Go From War?"
