THE WISH TO HONOR President Dickey and Doctor Hopkins, the return of many veterans, the lapse of nearly four years since the last sizable gathering, and the usual interest in Dartmouth Night, all combined to make memorable our dinner meeting at the Ten Eyck on November 9.
President John Akin '26 wielded the gavelcarefully, out of respect to its vendibility- through the business session.
Neil Sheldon '18 and Russ Field '35 of the Schenectady contingent got a big response when they invited the members to their fair city to witness the Columbia game by television.
Sam Aranowitz '11 presented the speakers of the evening. Josh Davis, the center attraction as of old, brought us up to date and into the future on several aspects of the situation in Hanover. Eddie Bowen '20, Harry Conner '38, and Seward Mac Donald '43 of the Marines; Ml Johnson '31 of the Navy; and Don Bridge 39 of the Merchant Marine related their recent experiences on and beyond the seven seas. Dan Hausmann '03 recalled that the camPus has changed but little through these few decades—in its weather anyway. Henry Seaver '11 presented the case for and against DDT and statisticians.
