Fletcher, Swift, and Bill Hewes had luncheon together in San Francisco on March 19. Instead of spending all their time dwelling on the "grand old days at Dartmouth," which they both hold as precious memories, they spent considerable time discussing the Alaskan Highway and the Canol Oil project in Northwestern Canada. Bill was well informed on both these topics.

Charles Bartlett is ah executive officer on an escort ship to a United States destroyer in the Pacific Josiah Chandler is the executive officer Of a supply ship stopping at many of the islands in the Pacific James Russell Chandler Jr., his brother, is on a carrier ship in the Pacific. What tales these sons of Dartmouth men will have to tell their families and friends on their return!

Four of our '9B men have wintered in Florida and five on the Pacific coast. The secretary congratulates them one and all, for we certainly had a tough winter in New England.
