Two Dartmouth ski stars and a former Dartmouth ski coach are with the mountain infantry division in Italy that recently captured 3700-foot Mt. Belvedere.

The Dartmouth group consists of Capt. John Litchfield '39, internationally known skier who was a member of the 1940 Olympic team and captain of the College varsity ski team; Lt.. Percy Rideout '4O, captain of the 1939 ski team and coach of the Dartmouth team after Prager enlisted; and T/Sgt. Walter Prager, Swiss skier and coach of the Green teams from 1936 until his induction into the Army in 1941.

The division's Red Cross doughnut girl, Deborah Bankhart, a well-known New England skier, also has Dartmouth connections. She. is the daughter of Larry Bankhart 'lO, who was a member of the DAC from 1918 to 1919 and who scouted Harvard for Dartmouth. Miss Bankhart has also been a ski instructor at the Hanover Inn Ski School.
