Daniel Roy Hinckley of Memphis, Tenn., was recently made a Grand-pap by his daughter and in celebration of the event took a trip to Quantico where his son received a commission. While in Washington "Hinck" tried desperately to contact Andy Jackson, only to finally realize that Andy domiciled in Philadelphia. The next stop was in New York where a "Hi Hinck" was the salutation of our old time songster, Clary Howes. Hinck says he almost reached for his violin. Three hours with Clary brought many fond remembrances of the 1903 days. Then continuing northward, Hinck spent a Sunday in Hanover to find a much changed Dartmouth. The question is, does one have to become a grand-dad to enter the precincts of Hanover in these days?

Dr. Otis P. Mudge has recently visited his son, Lt. Bertram, who is in the Infantry at Camp Blanding, Fla. On his return he was accompanied by Mary, Bertram's wife, who will remain for a while with him. Capt. Edwin 8., USAAF, has been in France for eighteen months, and G. Otis is a production manager at the South Portland, Me., shipyards.

The star event of the spring was unquestionably the five-year class dinner in Boston, and it has been amply recorded in the June MAGAZINE. It was good to see Jim McManus, Dana Whipple, Bucky Bates and Phil Brown again, and all the rest of the dozen '03 men present; viz: Nat Batchelder, Dick Brown, Vic Cutter, Pip Howard, Harry Watson, Prex Whelden and Chubby Edwards.

Lt. Walter Robert Swan of the USAAF, son of Laurie Swan, a prisoner of war in Germany since March 18, 1944, has been returned to this country, and is at home in Beverly, Mass., with his sister. Lt. Swan was navigator of a Flying Fortress.
