At the Commencement exercises of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N. Y., held on June 22, the honorary degree of Doctor of Engineering was conferred on Joe Nuelle.
On June 4 at Hingham, Mass., a high-speed transport was christened the U. S. S. Rogers Blood, by his mother, Mrs. Robert M. Blood. His sister, Wave Lieutenant Elizabeth Blood was maid of honor. Rogers, who was killed leading his platoon in the landings at Eniwetok, Marshall Islands, received the Silver Star and Purple Heart posthumously.
Louise Whittemore was'married to William Frederick Sparks, Air Corps, U. S. Army on Sunday, July 8.
After thirty-nine years of teaching, Bob Adriance retired on June 22 and has moved to 54 College Road, Orono, Maine.
