Jim Ritchie states that since Hanover became a seaport town he gets seasick whenever he returns to the Campus. Trouble is, Jimmy, you don't go back at the right time as we missed you at the Fortieth.

On October first, Bill Page completed forty years of service with the Bell Telephone Co., of Pennsylvania. Bill was honored at a luncheon on that day at which time he was presented with a gold service pin. Bill is traffic supervisor personnel for the company's Central Pennsylvania territory.
Dave Main has announced the appointment of Bob Blood as class agent. Our class is greatly indebted to Nat for his many years of devoted service as class agent and I am sure he would wish for Bob the same interest and help he received from us all.
Freddie Welch reports that he arrived back in Pullman, Washington ten days after leaving our Fortieth Reunion, having stopped on the way to see the grandchildren. Freddie writes that almost 6,000 students are enrolled
in the State College of Washington this fall. Eric Kelly is back in Hanover teaching. He writes that Nate Redlon's son was killed recently in a plane crash and that Nate's wife died two days later.
"Happy" Wayman came to Dartmouth from the Calumet High School in Chicago, Ill. Throughout his college career, Happy was very much interested in the "art of entertaining." He was one of the leaders in the Vaudeville Shows, sang on the Glee Club and won first prize in the 1904 Rollins Prize Speaking Contest.
Soon after graduation Happy located in New York and from there went to Houston, Texas, as Field Representative of the American Automobile Assn. At the time of his death he was manager of the Fogle-West Life Insurance Co.
Happy was very active in the Elks, of which he was a past secretary. Because of his ability in writing poems, he was called the Poet Laureate of the Elks.
After a long illness Happy died on September 7, 1946. He is survived by his widow, Marian and a son Harry, both of whom live in Houston.
