MEMBERS of the San Diego Alumni Association held a luncheon and outing with their friends and wives at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, Saturday, October 5th.
President of the San Diego group is Robert S. Morris '12 of La Jolla. In the absence of William T. Adams '34, founder and organizer of the local group and now of Los Angeles, Vance Dickerman '31, secretary of the association, presided as master of ceremonies.
Parker W. Meade '22 as chairman was responsible for all arrangements including entertainment, and was ably assisted by Leonard Manley '13 and Harry W. MacKinnon '02.
Features of the entertainment program were the soprano solos of Miss Meredith Bristow, and the swimming and diving exhibition sponsored by the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club.
This was the first time members of the San Diego group had held a meeting to, include their wives and it was so successful that it was unanimously voted to make this outing an annual event.
Members who attended with their wives were: Luther H. Barber '40, Thomas P. Chambers '23, Vance Dickerman '31, Ray Hughes, honorary; Harry W. MacKinnon '02, Leonard R. Manley '13, Robert S. Morris, Sr. '12, Robert S. Morris, Jr. '36, John L. Muchemore '43, Richard Sankey '31, Edward F. Self '42 and Nevin Wiley 38. The more eligible bachelors present included Donald B. Cobb '40, Warren Currier '08, Howard M. Rowe '39, Dr. William R. Jepson '12, Parker W. Meade '22, Lowell S. Peterson '42 and Dohrman J. Sinclair '28. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Ivor W. Chambers, parents of Thomas P. Chambers, and Howard F. Rowe, father of Howard M. Rowe.
