Charles A. Vose '22, recently made President of the First National Bank of Oklahoma City, has achieved a unique combination of banking activities. Since leaving Dartmouth in 1918, he has spent a quarter-century in the banking business and is well known for his outstanding success in this field. But in his home city, he has the gratitude of many mothers for his establishment and maintenance of the Mothers' Milk Bank of Oklahoma. Over a hundred babies owe their lives to this enterprise, which provides, at nominal expense, mother's milk for infants needing it for their existence, for whom it could not otherwise be obtained. During the illness of his own son, whose recovery was made possible only by having milk flown by plane from Milwaukee, Mr. Vose decided that he would make this life-saving commodity available, in similar emergencies, to other parents in his community.
