Pete Fitzherbert always seems to come through with a newsy letter when the column needs it most. In his most recent communique he reports:

Jim Whipple has returned to "those poverty- stricken but happy student days—this time it's Graduate School at Western Reserve University, working for an M.A. in History." ...Cy Greene, selling school and college text books for D. Appleton-Century Co. in the New England territory, has recently acquired a place to live in North Cohasset, Mass.

Cliff and Phyllis England have just moved to Manchester-by-the-Sea. I don't like to suggest this, but Jimmie and I took our cribbage beatings from them quite gracefully. But when we give them the double bushy-tail, what do they do but move way up to Manchester The last word from MikeBoyd gives with the news that he is now a property owner located at 2771 South Williams St., Englewood, Colo. He mentions that he sees LarryJump occasionally.

The Dartmouth-Yale game brought out several of the class. Among others, I spotted Doug Miller,Chuck Sims, Bob Fernald, Brint Schorer, PinkyConklin, Ferris Mack and Howie Rogers. After the game, Ken Langler, Fred Shurts, Dick Jewell and I—all with wives—had a miniature reunion at the home of Karl and Dot Wolff there in New Haven. The only real news of note with them is that Dick Jewell is now editing college text books (he confides that several go to Hanover) for D. Appleton-Century Co., and he has recently bought a home in Locust Valley, Long Island, N. Y.

Gordon Ley lives here in Belmont (Mass.), and we keep in pretty good shape with touch football every Sunday morning. There are about 16 of us, mostly Dartmouth men but mainly '35ers, who show up off and on.

As for myself, there is not much change. I'm still managing to stay smaller than Eddie Chamberlain, although I'm gaining. I've changed jobs and now am an engineer for the improved risk department of the New England Fire Insurance Rating Association. That's a mouthful, but it's not much of a change from my former job as a fire protection engineer. I guess that about ends what news I've got at the moment, but if I catch any more I'll forward it.

Thanks, Pete. Your round-ups are as interesting as they are complete. How about some of you mid- and far-westerners or southerners doing a little news-scouting for '36?

Charlie Brooks writes, "Please inform correct authorities our third daughter arrived July 23. We call her Judith. I am not sure whether or not I'll be able to scare up a son later, but am sure of three Carnival Queens."

Bill McLaughlin is working for Uncle Sam, in the General Accounting Office, with headquarters in Washington, D. C.

Al Phipps, located for a long time in South Africa, has returned to his home base of operations, New York, with the export firm of Muller & Phipps (Asia) Ltd. Al's home address: 435 Lewelen Circle, Englewood, N. J.

John Klauer and Catherine Anne Finnegan were married on November 28. John is doing investigating work for the W.A.A. in New York.

Bob Brenner, out of Army Captain's uniform since we last saw him at Reunion, is Office Manager of Trinity College, Hartford, Conn.

Jack "Smedley" Smith is back with the New York firm of Eggers & Higgins after getting another degree at the Yale School of Architecture. Jack recently bought a house in Old Greenwich, Conn.—not far from the EdBrooks—and is in the process of remodelling it.

Tom Monagan, his wife, two daughters and son, are at 24 Windsor St., Waterbury, Conn. Tom is taking a graduate course in pediatrics at the Willard Parker Hospital, and will open a local practice next July Dick and Julie Spencer had their second child, a little Richard, on November 3.

Peter David joined Pic and Norm Hofman on November 12. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 1 oz. (announced, you must admit, with amazing editorial objectivity!).

"A short column," you may remark. We agree. It's in your power to do something about it. We hope you will write us.
