Felicitations and birthday greetings to these Ninety-niners born in February—Barney, Beal, Bonney, Hopkins, Osgood, Watson and Win- Chester.
That man Hoban is in the news again. Despite his retirement as District Attorney of Worcester County, Mass., fame still pursues him. On December 23, the city's first radio station at Gardner, Mass., went on the air. The station is WHOB, named after none other than Hobe, who was not consulted about the selection. "The Voice of Gardner" will no doubt broadcast from time to time an eloquent voice that has been publicly heard in Massachusetts for the last forty years.
Rodney and Margaret Sanborn are spending the winter at their Florida home at 1215 N. E. 95th St., Miami Shores. There is a telephone in the house and welcome is on the doormat.
I he death of Henry Berger recorded in the In Memoriam columns did not become known to the secretary or any of the class until several days after the funeral. Consequently, the class was not represented and flowers were not sent in accordance with our usual custom. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family. Of the 105 who graduated with the class, Henry was the 49th to die. Among others who were at one time members of the class, 23 have died.
Our condolences to Hawley Chase whose mother died December 16, at Newport, N. H., where she had lived for more than 75 years.
Roland Stevens, Secretary of the Class of 1895, has graciously sent us a very interesting book issued on the Fiftieth Anniversary of the 95 graduation. It is entitled Proceedings of theFiftieth Reunion, Class of Ninety-five, Dartmouth College. Besides autobiographies of living members, it contains a complete necrology of deceased members. There were 69 graduates.
Again that hardy perennial, the Ninety-nine Annual Roundup, will bloom for the 47th time on the first Saturday in March, which this year is the first, at the usual place, The University Club, Boston. Try to come and join the regulars who are always there.
