All of us o£ '96 will be saddened to learn that Mrs. Thomas C. Ham, our Kate, has passed away.

She was born Catherine McCann in Chelsea, but always known as Kate. She had three sisters and three brothers. In her youth the McCann home was the gathering place for many Dartmouth men.

In this group was Bill Randall, also of Chelsea to whom Kate was married. Bill died in November 1926 after a long, crippling illness. Those who attended our Reunion in June 1936 will remember her devotion and loving care for Bill when he was so helpless.

Tom's first wife, Lola, whom we all remember so well, passed away in December 1932.

At our Reunion in 1936 Tom and Kate became engaged and were married the following October. It was a most suitable union tying Kate still more closely to our group.

Tom and Kate lived most of their years in Pittsburgh. He had official positions with Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation for over 36 years. After he retired in June last they moved to 47 Hubier Road, Marblehead, Mass., where Tom lives for the present.

Kate died January 19, 1947, after a long illness. The class sent a beautiful bouquet of American Beauty roses with a card reading:

TO KATE THE CLASS

She was indeed a beloved member of our class group. We cherish her memory.
