CHARLIE MCLANE '41, captain of the Dartmouth Outing Club of New York ski team, raced a fast downhill on the Corkscrew and Yodeler trails at Big Bromley, Manchester, Vermont, on February 9, to win first place in the New York Ski Council's annual inter-club competition.
The DOCNY took second honors as a team, losing to a strong Amateur Ski Club of New York contingent. The Dartmouth team fin ished behind McLane as follows: in 6th place, Rip Ripsom '37; Bth, Ben Moats '46; 13th, FredHerzl '45; 14th, Maw Chandler '32; 20th, Alex Jones '3B; 27th, Dick Hirschland '35.
The Club meets again on February 20 to hear John Rand '38, graduate manager of the DOC, and Ross McKenney speak on Hanover DOC activities and in particular the College Grant.
