The Robert Earle Mulhern Memorial Trophy was presented to the College by Bob's father this past hockey season. It is to be presented each year to the most improved hockey player on the squad, certainly in keeping with Bob's very high degree o£ intestinal fortitude.

At this writing, Capt. Jack Riley is about to lead the hockey team into a game with the Univ. of Toronto for the International Intercollegiate Hockey Championship DickRondeau served as hockey coach at Holy Cross this past season. Phil Puchner was captain and downhill-slalom star of the ski team this year Mo Distin has been copping his usual share of ski races t00..... Bill Turpin has been selected as a Rhodes scholar Meryll Frost is assistant director of the Bay State Society for the Crippled and Handicapped, Inc Dave Little is in graduate school at Northwestern Joe Hatch is acting as secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in°Fort Fairfield, Me John Murphy is at Harvard Law School Wil Reinman is a buyer for G. M. McKelvey Cos., Youngstown, Ohio Buzz Beattie is at the Univ. of Virginia Law School, and reports Gus Broberg •41 and Jack Eddy '45 there Tom Douglas has graduated and is now with the Insulation Mfg. Corp. in Chicago Bill Foye is in the chem department at the Univ. of Indiana.

Red Peabody is reading law in an office in Portland, Me. Charlie Pappas is working in Nashua, N. H Wemo Epply was in Hanover recently on a skiing trip JohnnyRoberts and Betty were here for Winter Carnival; daughter Ann didn't make the trip. John Bird is at the Univ. of Cincinnati Law School. Dick Ostberg is working for IBM and is married Wiley Hitchcock is at the Univ. of Michigan studying music..... JohnMacdonald and family recently had the misfortune of being burned out of their house in Sachem Village, but were greatly aided by a fund raised in their behalf by students and townspeople Speaking of mishaps, rumor has it that Fritz Hier fractured an ankle recently by falling down a flight of stairs in a sorority house at Syracuse Wynn Underwood is currently the youngest member of the Vermont General Assembly, sitting in the House of Representatives Larry Ritter is at Yale Law School.

Archibald Hamilton Rowan III, son of Ham and Jean, was the first baby to receive a certificate of membership in the "Dartmouth tribe," awarded to all babies born to undergraduate parents in Hanover CharlieMottola is currently receiving congratulations on the birth of daughter Susan Jim and Margaret Sinon became the parents of Paul Vincent on St. Valentine's Day. Jim is at present working for his master's degree at State College in Albany, N. Y Joe and Grace Buckley are the parents of Patricia Ann. Joe at last word was at Chelsea Naval Hospital. Monte and Carol DuVal announced David Kirkland recently BuckyBrandt writes that he became the father of his second son last February. Bucky is working as a junior executive at Bamberger's in Newark, arid that others with him include Dave Judson, Ted Douglas, and Lindy DiFabio. Also that Don Hiltz is located somewhere in Jersey. ....Bill Brewster is the father of William Scott Whit Wells has a baby daughter, named Gail.

Recent '44 weddings include those of: Ralsey Scofield and Elizabeth Plumley of St. Michaels, Md.; Gene Zins and Adele Dultz of South Orange, N. J Hank Marshall and Elizabeth Bates of Brockton, Mass.; SteveHorner and Jane Ball of Newark; Bill Barrett and Joan Kuebler of Darien, Conn.

Engagements: Bob Allen and Jean Ryder of Waterbury, Vt. and Smith '45; Dr. JohnShapleigh and Dorothy Bradford of New York and New Canaan. John is an intern at the New York Hospital; Don Campbell and Nancy Breed of Newtonville and Middlebury; Ed Crawford Hills and Frances Emery, Smith '46; Don Currier and Ethel Driggs of Old Kings Highway, Conn.; Jack Snobble and Barbara Morris of Chicago and Vassar. Jack, who is teaching this year at the Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs, hopes to go to Switzerland to study for his master's degree, and, just incidentally, to do a little skiing; Chuck Glines and Dorothy Viets of Youngstown, Ohio, and Skidmore; Fred Witzel and Jamie Redwood of Mobile, Ala., and Univ. of Virginia; Dick Smith and Marion Rogers of Saugerties, Conn. Dick is working in Saugerties.
