Bill Sleigh, with an extremely valuable background of experience in government agencies, has resigned from OPA and has opened a law office at 10 State St., Boston. Bill was formerly Litigation Attorney and later Enforcement Executive for the New England region.
Ken Hill reports: "Dan Harris has been teaching school in Gloucester and helping to run the family's sail loft business. Unbeknownst to some of us he has been commuting to Boston nights studying law, and has now passed the Massachusetts Bar and hung out his shingle in the home town of Gloucester.
Frank Wallis made the front page again recently in connection with the brewers strike in Massachusetts. Frank is retained by the Brewers Association in all matters pertaining to labor disputes. More recently, he has been retained as consultant for the Narragansett Brewery in the same capacity—and do we know our Narragansett.
"The Pete Haffenreffers plan to have a real Rhode Island clam bake some Saturday in June for our classmates around here, including wives and children. At the same time, his brother Carl, Class of 1930, may have a similar representation, which would make lively competition in various sports. The Narragansett slogan of 'Hi Neighbor' is expected to be very much in evidence."
Frank Shea, formerly Assistant U. S. Attorney General and a prominent figure at the Nuremburg trials, has announced the formation of Shea, Greenman, Lane and Sandmire with offices at 735 15th St., N.W., Washing- ton, D- C., and at 46 Cedar St., New York City.
Parker Merrow of the "Carroll County Independent," Center Ossipee, N. H. (rates on request) authored an article in Outdoors dealing with over-and-under guns.
Parker recently wrote us: "While at Reunion I did talk to your good wife and she said that one of your sprouts was much interested in birds, including crows. If you get up this way next summer, come around and I will take the youngster out and teach him what I know about crow calling. If he is not a hunter, I will leave the gun at home and make it a bird lover's deal. My interests in crows are strictly atavistic and lethal but I can put on a change of face for an afternoon."
Len Larsen is now located in New York in charge of the Auto Club Service at 38 Park Row. He's living at 440 Riverside Drive but is open to offers of an apartment in lower New York.
If you want a really big hunk of dough for something or other, a good guy to see is BobReynolds of Blythe & Cos., 14 Wall Street. Bob's job is underwriting corporate issues. He now lives at 7 Garden Ave., Bronxville. During the war he was a lieutenant commander in the Finance Section of the Naval Bureau of Aeronautics.
Bevo Bevins writes: "I recently went to work for Ford, Bacon & Davis (engineers) after 3 years of paper mill engineering and a long period of oil refinery construction. One daughter (17) is in high school and one (19) in Green Mountain Junior College. At least that's where she is supposed to be. Actually, she seems to be splitting her time about 50-50 between there and Dartmouth. I still live in Port Washington and spend most of my spare time either riding on or cussing out the Long Island R. R."
Bill Farnsworth has a son at Andover who was 1925's second class baby (the first was Tommy Frost's). When Bill was a Colonel in the Air Forces, young Bill was a first lieutenant flying a B-29. Bill Jr. plans to enter Dartmouth next fall. The Farnsworths live at 594 Forest Ave., in Rye, N. Y. Bill is a partner in the law firm of Wittenberg, Carrington and Farnsworth at 70 W. 40th St., N. Y.
