The Dartmouth Club of Glens Falls and Vicinity started off its new year with an outing and clam steam at the Battenkill Country Club, Greenwich, N. Y., on Saturday, September 11. Bill Sharp '26 with the aid of DonHanks '41 and "Tuss" Hand '43 did a masterful job as host. Forty-seven alumni, undergraduates and guests enjoyed the largest turnout in the club's history. All members hope this is a sign of the future as the club was inactive during the war years and was reactivated just last year.

Other alumni in attendance were Charles Faxon '14, George "Doc" Daisy '15, Frank Morey '20, Tom Griffin '23, Kip Higley '23, Cooper Rhodes '25, George Davis '28, Phil Peck '30, George Wein '31, Sam Englander •32, Bob Crawford '37, Bill Bronk '38, Roy Middleworth '39, Mort McGinley '41, George Morse '41, John Bullard '42, Ward Jenkins '42, and Arch Gernert '46. Undergraduates who attended were Dick Higley '49, John Higley '51, and "Duke" Mac Arthur '52.

The class of 1941 took the attendance honors with three members present. MortMcGinley, travelling eighty miles for the steam, led the group in singing with the help of Kip Higley and George Morse. Several members played golf with only one casualtyJohn Higley had the misfortune of not ducking.

The Glens Falls club hopes to continue the fine start it has made with this outing. Having the potential of being one of the largest college groups in northeastern New York, it is hoped that other area alumni who missed the outing will come gut to the winter meetings which are held periodically through the fall and winter at the Hotel Queensbury, Glens Falls. The next meeting is planned for late October or early November.
