William L. Wilson Jr. '34 has been appointed administrative head of the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover to succeed the late Donald S. Smith.
Developing an interest in hospital work that began while an undergraduate, Mr. Wilson studied hospital administration at the University of Chicago following his graduation from Dartmouth. For three years, he was administrative assistant to Dr. Basil C. MacLean, director of the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N. Y.; and from 1939 until the present, he was administrator of the George F. Geisinger Memorial Hospital in Danville, Pa.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania, of the American Hospital Association, and is a Fellow of the American College of Hospital Administrators. He is expected to assume his duties at the hospital on July 1,
