Jules Walther of Elizabeth, N. J., one of our "retired gentlemen," is enjoying life as never before. A trip to Allentown, Pa., to visit daughter Barbara and her husband and a stay in North Carolina with his son John and family during a part of the winter made Jules and Louise some years younger. Jules is now looking forward to a summer on his farm in North Sutton, N. H. He hasn't as yet laid claim to the title of "agriculturist," as PrayWadham does, but we are going to see this summer if such a title should be conferred. Jules' farm is on King's Hill in North Sutton and he would give any of you a warm welcome.
Mort French is back from his "winter quarters" in Florida to his home in Kennebunk Beach, Me., awaiting checks for the Alumni Fund. Have you sent yours?
In a letter from Al Pratt of Middleboro, Mass., a tribute is paid the memory of FredRyder who proved a worthy citizen of the community. Alton and Fred attended the Middleboro High School and entered Dartmouth together. Al reports himself in fair condition but regrets that he has to observe limitation of activity.
Bucky Lewera, in his inimitable style, has written of the superb quality of the 'O3 representation at the New York Dartmouth Dinner sharing honors with '0l and '04. WinfieldRice, Ray Brown and Bucky contended for 'O3.
Billy Stevens, Judge William L. Stevens of Concord, N.H., lays claim to continued good health and confining work. He occasionally sees Chester Hadley, who still travels for the Page Belting Cos. of Concord. We wish that we could see both of these lads more often.
The program for the 5-Year-Class Dinner has been announced with Billy Grant and Lillard 'O5 as speakers. Last year we had 80 men of the five classes in attendance and all indications now point to an equally large number this year. We regret that one of our secretaries, Dave Austin 'O4, will not be with us for he, at this moment, is in Dick's House at Hanover. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended.
