THE ANNUAL MEETING of the Eastern Connecticut alumni group was held at Howard Johnson's Restaurant, New London, on April 14. After refreshments and dinner, the party moved to Dr. Lena's house for further entertainment. Everyone enjoyed the showing of "Hanover 1947" and "1947 Football Scrapbook." A 16 mm. sound projector was borrowed for the occasion from Admiral Billard Academy of New London. Members present were Dr. and Mrs. H. F. Lena '12, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Holway '20, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Morton '26, P. J. Boras '29, A. Vogt '30, Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Shurts '30, Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Leyser '32, Mr. and Mrs. F. Shurts '36, Dr. and Mrs. J. M. Wool '36.
It was necessary to admit a foreigner in our midst in the person of N. W. Barrett, Tufts '41, who for the second year secured and operated the projector.
Plans for transportation and attendance to the state meeting at Bridgeport were made.
