The fall meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Chattanooga was held at the home of Pat Williams on September 15. The party was given by the local alumni for the undergraduates who were shortly to return to Hanover. Von Oehmig was responsible for some very tasty barbecue and a fine meal. The alumni present included: John S. Fletcher, A. Pollack Boyd, John V. Gunnison, Robert P. Williams, John S. Fletcher Jr., Harry L. Miller Jr., Von Daniel Oehmig, Joseph H. Lane, Richard H. Houck, Joseph H. Davenport Jr., L. Hardwick Caldwell Jr., John M. Olmsted.
The undergrads led the singing, but had a hard time keeping up with the alumni, once we got warmed up. The boys who have returned to Hanover are Lew Boyd '50, Scott Probasco Jr. '50, Blackwell Smith Jr. 52, Bill Thomas '52, Randolph Wilson '52, James Robinson '51, and Pete Robinson '52.
It looks like Chattanooga will be well represented in Hanover in 1968, as Von Oehmig,Pat Williams, Dick Houck, Hardwick Caldwell, Robert Maclellan and Joe Davenport have young men who are sure to carry on the Dartmouth tradition.
James D. Kennedy '46 and his wife have just returned from a three-months tour of the continent and he's again settling down to his banking activities.
The principal item of business was a discussion of the arrangements for an appearance of the Dartmouth Glee Club in Chattanooga next spring. We are proud to be included on the itinerary and have worked out arrangements with the Junior League of Chattanooga to co-sponsor the event. These girls are going to help us see to it that the folks down South hear more and more about Dartmouth.
