Once again we succeeded in selecting a date for our October party which conflicted with a multitude of affairs in various of the many municipalities we cover. It developed that P. T. A. meetings, Community Chest responsibilities and Republican political rallies demanded the attention of many who would otherwise have been present. The reduced numbers made imperative a last-minute switch from Mayfair to Pal's Cabin.

However, although the group was not large, the 39 who showed up were an enthusiastic bunch and gave evidence of enjoying themselves. While the lack of any formal program disappointed a few, others appeared to feel that this increased the opportunity for more personal contacts which they felt to be the main object of such affairs. Personal views on what our meetings should consist of would be welcomed by the Secretary.

Don't let that March 27, 1950 date for the annual meeting get mislaid. It is hoped that we will have a real turnout for that affair. To do so, however, some real work must be done to stir up a greater interest among those in the area who have been largely inactive. How about accepting responsibility for the other members of your own class? If you are willing to do that, you will be greatly assisting the Association. Get in touch with the Secretary, who can give you a basic record to work from.
