MARVIN B. DURNING '49 of New Orleans, La., has been awarded the Class of 1926 Fellowship for an internship with the U. S. Bureau of the Budget in Washington this summer, according to a recent announcement by President Dickey.

The fellowship is provided by funds given by an anonymous graduate in the name of the Class of 1926 to assist one or more Dartmouth graduates or undergraduates to make a first-hand study of public affairs. Like Durning, many of the recipients of the fellowship have chosen to work in Washington.

A June graduate, Durning entered Dartmouth from Isidore Newman High School. He is both a Rufus Choate Scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Durning was vice president of his class during his sophomore year and is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He plans to enter law school in the fall.
