1947 class regional committees are in evidence this fall with gatherings sponsored in three localities for a like number of football games. Jack Young, with his committee of Bob Criag and Joe Flounders, urged '47s in Philadelphia for the Penn game to party with the local alumni. At this writing the Boston committee has plans for a gathering after the Harvard game October 28. AI Bildner, with the help of Norm Falkin and Fritz Alexander, has launched a Princeton celebration to be held at the Dartmouth Club in New York City November 25.
Recent news from the Secretary's sister in Tabriz, Iran is that J. Patrick Mulligan, formerly Assistant Attache at the American Em- bassy in Cairo, Egypt, spent several days with them in that far away city in Iran. The writer and his wife Audrey spent a recent Sunday evening with Di and Rube Samuels in Engle wood. Rube had spent Labor Day weekend with Danny and Chuck Howard at their home near West Columbia, W. Va. The Howards were planning a vacation trip to Central America.
Cathy and Leo Cunningham are now living in Mission, Kan. Treasurer Hank Spiers is back at Brown University this year after a summer in the White Mountains. Liz and AlColton are living in Bethany, Conn., near New Haven, where Al is attending the Yale Law School. They arrived back in this country from England in August and had time enough before starting school to visit their families in the middle and far west.
Robert E. Cook and Edward Mann are two classmates from the former DNNA organization. Ed Mann is "single (and happy)," a salesman for Victor Adding Machine Cos. Ed was a sociology major at Dartmouth and played football in '44 and '45. Ed is living in Chicago now, but traveled through Hanover this past summer and visited with RalphPowers and Bernie O'Shea in New York.
Dr. Robert Berry is at the Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Bob Bohn is a sales engineer with Preferred Utilities Mfg. Corp. in Boston.
Don Armistead. is a junior engineer in New York City. Lindsey Beauchamp is teaching in Shrub Oak, N. Y. Lou, Blaisdell is junior designer and estimator for American Bridge Cos. in New York City. Dr. Van Chambers is associated with the San Francisco Hospital. Hugh Chapin is in insurance work in Poughkeepsie, N. Y.

Steph Bucklin is principal of the Rose Lodge Grade School in Rose Lodge, Ore. Owen Butler is associated with Procter and Gamble Distributing Cos. in New York City. Harry Graves is an engineer with T. W. Cunningham, Inc., Bangor, Me.
Dr. Richard Allen will interne at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Bill Yakovic has completed a year's interneship at Los Angeles Community General Hospital and has entered Harvard University School of Medicine this fall where he will take a fivemonth post-graduate course, majoring in eye surgery in preparation for a residency in eye surgery in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Lee Bartholomew began his interneship at Philadelphia General Hospital in July. He was among those receiving the degree of Doctor of Medicine at Columbia recently. Dr.George Gohn was awarded his M.D. degree by Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, Philadelphia, and will serve his interneship at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. Dr. John Garry will serve his interneship at Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Hanover.
Tom Harrington is now with the sales force of the United States Envelope Cos. Until recently, he has been with W. T. Grant Cos. or ganization at San Antonio, Tex. Fritz Alexander, class executive committeeman and New York regional committeeman, has been .elected vice-president of the NYU pre-Bar Association.
Ev Nordstrom is on the faculty of Nichols Junior College, Dudley, Mass., teaching mathematics and accounting, and coaching varsity basketball and J.V. soccer. Ev and his wife Mary, Middlebury '46, are the parents of Russell Everett Nordstrom who is now over a year-and-a-half old. Dan Carroll expected to complete his doctorate in Political Science at the University of Chicago this past spring and has plans for teaching and marriage.
Ted Meier, a new class member from DNAA, is associated with the traffic department of Lever Brothers Cos. Ted was in Hanover only two semesters, but during that time he was an active member of DOC along about the time of Quilly Brazel, Vern Lamb and Pete Owen. Ted spends his free time now flying when the lack of snow makes skiing impossible.
Dave Stouten is associated with A. O. Stillwell Cos., Inc. of Buffalo, N. Y., in charge of residential sales for specialized building products. Dave married the former Mary Alice Tornow of Buffalo in 1947 and they have a daughter Sally June.
Tim Luckenbach is working with the W. T. Grant Cos., presently in Buffalo. Tim's wife Barbara is a '46 graduate of Penn State. The Luckenbach's have a baby boy, J. Keith, aged one year.
Jim Biggie, member of the class executive committee, is chairman of a committee on the Constitution, set up this fall to review the class constitution for presentation at reunion time. Working with him are Dave Stouten,Tim Luckenbach, Manny Benero and DanCarroll.

Richard Perkins is a draftsman with Riley Stoker Corp., Worcester. Dick was married July 22 to the former Miss Ruth Agnes Perkins. He is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
The former Miss Jean Adams, daughter of Gov. Sherman Adams of New Hampshire, and Martin Hallager were married September 30 in St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Hopkinton, N. H.
Miss Lena Henrietta Halldorson was married to Dick Jacques in Edmonton, Alberta August 12. Dick has his M.A. from the University of Michigan. He is working with the Geotechnical Foreign Corp. of Dallas, Tex.
Willard Wood was engaged in August to Miss Joan Louis Van Hook. Miss Van Hook is a junior at Wellesley, and Willard is associated with Brewer and Lord, Boston. Lt.(jg) Edwin Burke, USN was recently engaged to Miss Dorothy Francine Lewis. Miss Lewis attended the University of North Carolina and Edwin attended both Dartmouth and Harvard.
