The executive committee met at the Hyannis Yacht Club on Friday evening, December 9, to discuss plans for 1950. Those present were Gene Magenis, Falmouth, FrancisCallan, Middleboro, Emory Bentley, New Bedford, Sam Crocker, Wareham, and DonHagerman, Marion. Tom Groves, Hyannisport and Aaron Davis, Harwichport were not able to attend, but Tom very thoughtfully made all arrangements for the use of the club.
Among items discussed was that of the spring meeting. It was tentatively decided to hold our first dinner on Saturday evening, April 1, at the Coonamessett Inn in Hatchville. Be sure to put that on your calendar NOW. If any alumni from other areas are to be in this area we hope they will feel welcome to attend.
For our first meeting we are including all the wives and also parents of boys currently in Hanover. Dinner and cocktails will be "dutch treat," so start saving the pennies from your cigarette money.
We have invited a representative from the College to speak. It should be a grand gettogether and we are aiming at 100% attendance. To date we have about 130 alumni in this area, and the return from our first mailing piece was most gratifying.
See you all on Saturday, April 1.
Secretary, Tabor Academy, Marion, Mass.
