During a quick trip north your secretary was able to have a nice visit with the Rev.Byron Gustin at his home in North Amherst, Mass. The Gustins are planning on making this past winter their last one in the north. Mrs. Gustin is arranging to give up in June her important work for the schools of Amherst so that they may be free to travel or to settle as they feel inclined in the south during the winters to come.

At the "Weldon Hotel, Greenfield, Mass., we found that Col. Walter Brown was not in quite as good condition as when we saw him last at the Hanover Inn. A fall in January set him back considerably, but he is slowly recovering from that. Mrs. Brown is not too well, so that they find it necessary to have the attendance of three nurses to give them the continuous care which they require.

Mrs. Goss writes that Georgia Goss, granddaughter of our classmate and daughter of Lane Goss '25, is now one of a group of Smith College juniors studying in Geneva, Switzerland, having sailed from New York last September on the Queen Elizabeth. The group spent the first five weeks studying in Paris. During the holiday season they travelled in Italy.
