"Pat" Kaney Memorial

A bronze memorial tablet, honoring "Pat" Kaney, Dartmouth gym coach who died in September 1948, will be unveiled in Hanover on Saturday, June 17, immediately following the general alumni luncheon and meeting that will be held as a feature of the reunion weekend.

The plaque, bearing a likeness of Coach Kaney and an inscription, is the result of a spontaneous desire on the part of his former team members and friends to preserve the memory of his contribution to Dartmouth College. It will be placed on the west wall at the south end of the upstairs gym, where Pat spent so much of his time teaching.
