Walter Dakin came in to see me on his way to Canada for a fishing trip but unfortunately I was away.
A letter from Bob Adriance brought the sad news that Florence passed away on June 5. Florence was nearly always present at our reunions and we shall miss her next June.
Howard Chidley has also written that their eldest daughter Elizabeth Chidley Speers passed away on March 21, leaving a husband and two sons, aged 12 and 8.
To both Bob and Chid the class extends sincere sympathy.
On July 27, our class agent, after a strenuous campaign on the Alumni Fund, took off for Hawaii to visit his son Robin who was back there res.ting up from his sojourn in Korea.

On February si, Homer Brown joined the Grandfather's Club. His son Richard became the father of David Richard on the anniversary of his own birthday.
Bucky Kraft in a letter to Nat Leverone gives some interesting news about his family. His son Arthur has received great acclaim as an artist. George is sales manager of the E. L. Bruce Co. of Memphis, Tenn. Has a boy four months old named George Herbert the Third. Mary Jo is in charge of the Tuberculosis and Cancer survey for the U. S. government. Has about 300 people working under her. Annette has an interest in a music store in addition to taking care of a seven-year-old daughter and running her home. Wife Mildred owns a very exclusive gift shop, called the Cellar, which she manages in her spare time.
A letter from Freddie Walsh advised that his health and strength are getting back to normal after an operation which incapacitated him for about four months. He hopes that before long he can retire to a small church in the country and be relieved of the heavy responsibilities of a large congregation. As an indication of what he means by heavy responsibilities, on Sunday, June 8, he baptized 17 babies at the morning .service.
Our annual class dinner will be held again at the Algonquin Club, Boston, on Friday, October 26, the night before the Harvard game. Plan now to be there.
