At a joint meeting of the New England Association of Social Studies Teachers and the New England Association of College and Secondary Schools held at Boston University on December 2, the luncheon was in honor of Horace Kidger. He was presented with an illuminated scroll, giving citation, was made an honorary life member of the Association, and the Kidger Award was announced, a fund to provide an award from time to time for outstanding work in the field of social studies. It is plain that Horace, although retired from active teaching, is far from being put away on the shelf.
Andy Perham is now living at New Market, Md., on Route 40 about eight miles from Frederick. He would be glad to see classmates passing by or in the vicinity. He and Mrs. Perham operate an antique shop. The Whelden family must hold some kind of a record for Dartmouth connections. Prex has three sons, two brothers and a nephew, all Dartmouth men.
The requirements of the armed forces will probably cause a much lessened enrollment in the college next fall. This will make a serious fiscal situation. Alumni should keep this in mind when the Alumni Fund campaign starts.
