With regret, because of the inability of its Florida and California members to attend, the Class of '86 has given up its plans for a formal reunion in June.
Dr. Edgar B. Philbrook of Los Angeles writes, at 91, "Life is uneventful as I 'sit in the corner and spin.' As far as my physical condition is concerned, I could easily make the trip East for the '86 reunion, but I am so deaf I cannot hear ordinary conversation. Consequently, it would be too disappointing to attempt it. Please express my regards to the members of '86."
The Newtons moved on February 28 to the College Arms Apartments, in Winter Park, Fla. They now have a commodious new home with a beamed-ceiling living room on the ground floor in a building which is at the end of the College Row and is very convenient to everything.
Pete Richmond's grandson Capt. Allen P. Richmond 3rd is on his way to Germany for a new Army assignment. Later Mrs. Richmond, with Nancy and Allen P. Richmond 4th, will join him there.
Spud Smith's great granddaughter Wendy Ann Smith is eight months old. A clever announcement of a "new attraction" at Well Sweep House of Fieldstone Lodge in Newbury, N. H., which Wendy Ann's parents, Robert G. Smith '44 and his wife Kerrie, own and manage, told their friends last summer of Wendy Ann's arrival.
