Three 1906 men attended the Dartmouth Alumni Dinner in St. Petersburg, Fla., on April 9: Con Chellis, Ben Mathes and BillPage.

And speaking of Bill, he is right back where he was in 1904, 1905 & 1906—namely at third base. It seems that there is a Half Century Club in St. Petersburg that holds a softball contest every spring and the captain of one of the teams signed up Bill at a fabulous salary. But it paid off as Bill got two singles in three times up to lead his team.

The rumor has been confirmed by Lonnie, himself. On February 24 he was married to Helen N. Biddison of New York City. On that date he not only acquired a wife but also three grandchildren which anyone will agree is a good day's work.

The Journal of Forestry for February carries a very interesting and instructive article about Robie Evans' record in the U. S. Forestry Service. It is hard to believe that anyone could accomplish as much as Robie did in his 40 years of service.

His early training was in Oregon and northern California and from there he came East as assistant district forester of District 7 which covers 25 states from Maine to Florida and including Puerto Rico. In 1934 he was appointed regional forester and one of his jobs was the supervision of more than 500 C. C. C. camps. It would require far too much space to enumerate all of Robie's accomplishments but the last one the writer lists is "he is a genial conversationalist and a master at the delicate art of concocting the dry martini."

Germaine and Earle St. Clair were visitors at the Hanover Inn late in April.

The Dartmouth of April 26 carried a picture of Francis Childs and a story about his talk at the Ticknor Club in which he gave interpretations of Shakespeare's sonnets.

One morning late in April a young man walked into the Club and asked if I knew him. After a few moments I realized it was LucyHoward in spite of his youth and deep tan. He and Helen had just returned from a four months' trip around the world.
