Our entire membership looked forward with great expectation to the Club's annual meeting, April 3, and its anticipation was more than justified. The meeting was held at the Genesee Valley Club in Rochester and the program included cocktails and dinner. High points of the evening were talks by our two guests of honor from the College, Stearns Morse, Dean of Freshmen, and Robert L. Allen '45, Assistant to the Secretary of the College. Bob Allen showed us a set of brand new colored slides of Hanover and the College.
John C. Osborne '45, our Club secretary, is publicity chairman for this annual meeting. Chester Berry '40, is chairman of the nominating committee.
Robert L. Paterson '36, chairman of our interviewing committee, reports that to date his committee has interviewed over 30 applicants to the Class of 1956 from this area. Bob and his group have been working particularly hard ever since last fall contacting high school advisers and principals, giving talks and slide presentations at the various schools, and talking to parents and friends of prospective applicants.
The 1952 Rochester Regional Scholarship campaign, under the able chairmanship of Robert Long '27, was a great success. We received over $800 from some 60 contributors in the Rochester area. This fine report is certainly a tribute to Bob and his good committee.
