The Dartmouth Club of Westchester held its annual meeting, a smoker, at the Westchester Hills Golf Club of White Plains on April 29.

Roald A. Morton '34 was elected president for the coming year, to follow H. M. ShermanJr. '29. Nine new directors were also elected, providing, in addition to three Club officers, five directors to be elected each year for a three-year term. Edwin B. Dooley '26 was elected vice president, and Robert C. Colwell '44 was re-elected secretary-treasurer of the Club.

A very enthusiastic audience attended and enjoyed speakers of the evening. Myles J.Lane '28, former Ail-American football and hockey player at Dartmouth, and presently U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, gave a most interesting talk on his duties as a "prosecutor.

Sidney C.Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, was the second speaker and held the deep interest of all who attended with a current account of Hanover activities, touching on many phases of College life, including the Admissions program, expected introduction of the honor system, the R.O.T.C. in Hanover, present editorial staff of The Dartmouth, description of the Dartmouth scholarship program and brief account of some of the outstanding seniors, who have won honors in the field of athletics as well as in the field of scholastic achievements.

We were very fortunate to have Sigurd S.Larmon '14, Trustee of the College, at the speakers' table; as well as president of the Long Island Dartmouth Club, Jack Coulson; Incoming President of the Dartmouth Club of Long Island, Alvin Marks '34; and one of the founders and most active sponsors of the Long Island Club, Ed Warnke '19.

President Morton announced that John I. Miles, a student from White Plains, had won over all others in competition for the scholarship awarded by the Dartmouth Club of New York to the most outstanding boy, from several applicants considered by the committee.

Ed Redman '06 was chairman of the nominating committee and is one of our Club directors, as well as manager of the Dartmouth Club of New York.

The following men were elected directors of the Dartmouth Club of Westchester County: One-year term—Arthur E. Allen '32, Richard H. Mandel '26, Edward B. Redman '06, Robert H. Reynolds '34, and F. M. Wallace '30. Two years—Charles D. Doerr '32, David C. Donaldson '43, Sigurd S. Larmon '14, Jay C. Whitehair '32, and Herbert A. Wolff '44. Three years—Charles A. Cleveland '45, Harold J. Eckardt '42, C. Raymond Hulsart '34, J. Kenneth Huntington '19, and Harold M. Sherman Jr. '29.
