Since Jim Adams '43 wrote his appreciative piece, which appeared in this column a year ago, the Dartmouth Outing Club of Northern California has prospered. At the end of the season last fall we put a ceiling in the main room of the cabin at Donner, completed chinking the walls and installed a Dutch door in the south wall of the Quonset. These Three items made the place fully accessible and habitable and consequently"we had ten parties up there through the winter and spring. Even at the very modest rates we charge, these parties produced an income to the Club of slightly better than one hundred dollars, about four times the income from this source the previous year. A good gain, on any corporation statement.

In July, after a postponement due to inclement weather, we held a very enjoyable and successful Dartmouth picnic and annual meeting of the Club at Redwood Regional Park. Over eighty per cent of the members were present in person or by proxy. The following were elected as officers and directors of the Club: President, Bob A lien '33; Vice President, Don Tenney '40; Secretary and Treasurer, Winsor Wilkinson '10; Assistant Secretary and Treasurer, Carl Ward '32; and Tavy Taylor '28, Gus Rosenthal '43, Jack Garfein '21 and Wally Clark '47. In all there were forty-five at the picnic; thirteen alumni with nine wives and seventeen children, two of the Class of 1957, with three parents and one friend.

This summer at Donner, we are installing a water supply system and starting construction of the Ray Taylor '11 Memorial Fireplace. By the time show flies, we will have another adequate supply of stovewood ready for the winter season.
