We have just been advised of the death of Paul Eckstorm last November at his home in Chicago. A later issue of the ALUMNI AZINE will contain an account of his life. one of Paul's greatest disappointments was no being able to come on for our 50th reunion. His plans were all made and then sudden illess prevented. Steve and Marion Stevens recently had the pleasure of a call from Harryand Grace Gilmore and daughter Jane. We hope other classmates and old friends will find their way to Deep River. Mortie Crowell says he never heard of the town except in connection with a Spiritual, although his great grandfather moved from East Haddam (the next town) in 1806 to Ohio.
Tam McGovern writes he and Bess spent part of their vacation at the Inn in Hanover, driving to various places in Vermont and New Hampshire, and ending their outing at Bar Harbor. Jim Howe was at the Basin Harbor Club, Vergennes, Vt„ last summer, but is spending the winter in Springfield with his
sister. We note the winter residents of Florida from the North are wending their way south. Clarence and Mary Phelps left their home in Michigan the last of October, heading for Orlando, and the Eddys started for Sarasota early in November.
