Your executive committee held a meeting in New York City at the Dartmouth Club on October 30. Those in attendance were Chuck Faye, Charlie Rauch, Hank Embree, John French, Bill Jessup, Fred Scribner, Ed Schuster, Gene Zagat, Charlie Widmayer, Bud French, Pete Callaway, Lee Chilcote, Si Chandler, Micky Emrich, Fran Horn, Vic Borella, Milt McInnes and your Secretary. The meeting discussed the many aspects of our forthcoming 25th Reunion - which, as you read these lines, is only about eighteen months distant.

By reason of an increase in the per capita subscription price to the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, the meeting voted to increase class dues by $1 in order to cover this increased annual cost to the Class Treasury. Fran Horn, as editor of our 25-Year Book, presented an excellent report with respect to his plans for that book, the nature of its composition, and its probable cost. Fran's plans surely indicate that our Book will be a prized possession of all of us. Reunion Chairman Charlie Rauch presented a detailed report on various plans for that gala event. (The matter of costumes continues to be under consideration, although there was some slight amount of campaigning for a replica of our Indian costumes of a prior year.) Class Agent Ed Schuster and Memorial Fund Chairman Hank Embree presented reports with respect to their activities and the results of the Class to date, as well as expectations for the future.

If you have not already done so, please remember the Memorial Fund by way of a contribution before the end of this tax year, and thus help yourself toward helping Uncle Sam to pay for a large part of your contribution to this big Memorial Fund for the Class. All aspects of the Memorial Fund situation were covered at the meeting. Although no definite "goal" was determined by the Committee, it was the sense of the meeting that the amount to be raised by the Class and presented to the College in 1955 should not be less than $150,000. The seriousness and thoroughness with which all aspects of our 25th Reunion were considered at this meeting is clear evidence of the successful reunion which 1930 will surely have in Hanover come June 1955.

One of several highlights for the visiting members of the executive committee to New York was the class dinner of the New YorkNew Jersey area which was held at the Dartmouth Club on the evening prior to the executive committee meeting. With over forty men in attendance, this was a miniature reunion and merely whetted the appetite of all of us for more of the same with more in attendance. the men represented at the meeting came from points as distant as Florida, California and even Maine! The card which was passed around the dinner table indicates that the following were in attendance at the dinner meeting, but undoubtedly there were some others present whose names did not become affixed to this card: Milt McInnes, Frank Kindermann, Charlie Rauch, Ev Low, Pete Callaway, Bill Jessup, Ed Schuster, Ellie Armstrong, Rannie Hobbs, Art Hayes, Bill Reinhart, Gene Zagat, Johnny Tiedtke, Stan Osgood, Eb Blake, Wallie Blakey, Ed Warren, Art Browning, Art Behal, A1 McGrath, Dud Day, Red Holme, Johnnie French, Fran Horn, Wallie Wasmer, Dick Tilt, Joe Epstein, Chuck Faye, Hank Embree, A1 Fisk, Ken Johnes, Stew Warner, Charlie Widmayer, Fred Scribner, Bud French, Micky Emrich, Bob Chittim, Shelly Stark, Vic Borella, Si Chandler, Red Gouid, Jim Mitchell, and your Secretary. Space is at premium in this month's Alumni Fund issue, but did you know: that Ray Bernhardt has opened investment offices in Buffalo, N. Y., under the name of R. S. Bernhardt Co.?

... That Gil Lowery, of Johns Manville Corp., was elected a director of the New Hampshire Manufacturers Association at its annual business meeting in October? ... That Joe Epstein is back in the active practice of law again in Elizabeth, N. J., in paitnership with Nelson F. Stamler, a former New Jersey Deputy Attorney General, and that Joe remains one of the few bachelors in the class? ... That HankEkstrom was elected president of the New Hampshire Golf Association at its annual meeting in October?... And that HermSchneebeli was president of the Williamsport, pa., Community Chest this year?

The most sincere wishes from your Secretary for a Merry Christmas and a delightful and happy New Year.
