The Annual '99 Roundup, the 53rd, will be held on the traditional first Saturday in March this year the seventh. Some former regular attendants, now in fairer fields, including three who were present last year, will be missed. At a suggestion made at the meeting last year, preference for a noon meeting, as in recent years, or a night meeting as formerly, has been requested in a questionnaire, the results of which will be announced later.
The following was in the Manchester (N. H.) Union Leader, November 17, 195 a: "Haiuley B. Chase was honored at a visitation of officers at a state communication of Mt. Vernon lodge 15, F&AM in Masonic hall in Newport. Mr. Chase was presented a grand lodge membership pin in recognition of his 50 years as a member of the Masons. Presentation was made by Stephen P. Johnson, district deputy grand master."
From the December 7 issue of the CrackerBarrel, a daily chronicle of news and events in Pinehurst, N.C.: "In the Tin Whistles Club event, Medal Play, Best Ball of All Four Partners, the winners were:—W. J. Fitzgibbon, T. A. Lynch, W. O. Smith & S. B. Masten." Also in a later issue: "The weekly tournament of the Tin Whistles Club carried over from Saturday, ended yesterday in a win for the foursome of W. J. Fitzgibbon, H. K. Hatfield, T. A. Lynch and F. L. Owens 48-46-94." Congratulations to Tim on his enduring prowess.
The Sanborns have bought a new house in Jackson Heights, Long Island. They still retain their houses in Ossipee and Miami Shores and went to the last the first week in January to stay until Spring.
K and May Beal were guests of the Kendalls at Sarasota during the second weekend in January.
Owen Hoban died December 21. His funeral was on December 24. Many classmates were notified in advance but a report of those who might have attended has not been received at this .writing, January 2. There was a flora] offering from '99. See the In Memoriam columns of this issue for articles about Hobe and Frank Surrey who died November 30. News about their careers was published in The New York Times and several New England newspapers.
