Best wishes for the New Year to all. May you enjoy good health and a most prosperous 1953
Many things get done in December' with the holiday season at the brim. Our primary interests were concerned with the annual Christmas holiday luncheon for alumni, undergraduates and their fathers. This year we were handicapped by a late mailing and though the attendance was not up to par, we all enjoyed first-hand information about Hanover and renewing acquaintances. DutchSchroedel, Thayer School '26, Vice President of the Philadelphia office of Turner Construction Company, spoke to us of the priviliges offered graduate engineers, particularly of the opportunities in construction work. It was a most interesting and timely talk.
We heard from Tom Malcolm '54, with notes of interest on the athletic front.
The following men were present: DaveWard '39, Tom Malcolm '54, John Heston '54 and father Jack Heston '28, Pete Pray '15, Tim Sears '56 and father, Perry Foeller '55 and father, Jim Tindle '36, Dutch Schroedel '25, Jack Young '47, Smed Ward '43, Perry Gresh '56 and father, Tim Hutchinson '55 and father, Peter Huhn '56 and father, Bob Barry '56 and father, George Farrington '12, ParkerSoule '31, "Bud" Jopson '45, and our president, Vic Smith '17.
With the advent of 1953, we are anticipating a grand evening at our annual meeting January 29, as we are fortunate to have Mr. Justin Stanley, Vice President of the College as our guest speaker.
Notes to you: Mac McMillan '16 is recovering after an operation; Steve Rutherford 'OB is moving to Waddington, N. Y., which is disappointing news as Steve has been a most active member of our group for many years and he shall certainly be missed; Bill Olmstead '38 has another daughter in the family; Lou Young has another right guard in James Michael as of 12-30-52; John' Bower '32 dropped in for lunch on a trip from Pottsville; Taylor Brandfast '51 and Rod Finkbeiner '49, Jefferson Medical College, and John Rhodes '52 were also recent visitors at our regular Monday noontime meetings at the Princeton Club at Camac and Locust Streets.
