Seventy alumni attended the annual banquet of the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland which was held at the University Club. The principal speaker of the evening was JustinStanley '33, Vice President of the College, who spoke on a variety of subjects including the relationship between the College and its alumni, the College's policy toward communists, undergraduate activities in Hanover, Winter Carnival and the duties of a vice president. His talk was interspersed with interesting anecdotes from the campus and was enthusiastically received by the alumni.

A wide range of classes was represented at the banquet, from John Watson and JackChilds who graduated shortly after the turn of the century down to several graduates of the class of 1952. As usual the Aurora delegation was well represented by Jack Childs and Tom Douglas '44 while one alumnus, Jack Slabaugh '18, came all the way from Akron. Several brother combinations were in attendance; namely, Lee and Bill Chilcote and Jackand Bob Childs. However, the three Mills brothers were not represented and the three Bruchs were represented only by brother Frank; Pete and Karl (Hot Lips) Bruch were conspicuously absent.

While Mr. Stanley was in Cleveland he also addressed a group of high school principals and alumni at a luncheon at the Hotel Statler. This luncheon is given annually to acquaint the high schools in the Cleveland area with the College and what it has to offer prospective students.

It was revealed at the annual banquet that "Marrying" Louis Weitz '35, Justice of the Peace for Shaker Heights, President of the Cleveland Dartmouth Club, and our most eligible bachelor has finally pledged himself in matrimony. Perhaps Lou's duties of performing marriage ceremonies inspired him to take the fatal step. However, it has not as yet been definitely established as to whether or not he is going to marry himself; that is, perform the ceremony at his own wedding.
