The annual meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Virginia for 1953 was held on March 17, with a dinner at the Hotel John Marshall in Richmond. The following members were present: Frank Brady '24, John Cartcart '39, Ben Chaney '44, Jim Fowler '28, Paul Gibson '15, Charlie Howe 'Ol, Bill King '35, Frank Lowden '37, Pete Marsteller '38, John Moody 'OO, Art Perkins '28, Mort Thalhimer '46, Dr. Douglas VanderHoof 'OO, Charlie Weston '18. A passing wayfarer, one Ted Wolf '30 of Niagara Falls, discovered the meeting while en route from Florida and visited with us for a time.

Following dinner, a brief business meeting was conducted during which the following slate of officers was elected for the current year: President Frank Lowden; Vice President—Lee Hodgkins '20; Secretary-Treasurer Frank Brady. A brief but encouraging report was submitted on behalf of the Student Enrollment Committee by its acting chairman. Mort Thalhimer.

President Frank Lowden then turned the meeting over to our guest speaker, Sid Hayward Secretary of the College. Sid gave an enlightening and interesting talk on present-day needs and aspirations of the College in its relations with both alumni and student bodies. The meeting was then thrown open to questions and general discussion, following which it was concluded with a showing of a movie depicting the Hanover scene of today.

If Virginia is attempting to take in too much territory in the way of space requirements, any necessary pruning operations will be accepted gracefully.
