Harold Rugg

With this issue Harold Goddard Rugg '06 retires as Literary Editor of the DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE. In that editorial post during the past 39 years he has been in charge of the Books section, has written countless articles and reviews, and in a great many ways has made contributions to the MAGAZINE that can never be adequately acknowledged.

The joy of association with Harold Rugg will not be wholly lost, for he will still be on our staff as Literary Editor Emeritus. In the more leisurely days ahead we wish him health and happiness with no lack of rare plants, rare books or choice pieces of Bennington ware at the end of the trails he follows.
